Welcome to Shenandoah Stables
At Shenandoah stables we believe riding is a sport, and do our best to make lessons fun. Riders are encouraged to learn as much as possible and to get fully involved in all aspects of horsecare. Riders are taught how to tack up and prepare for the lesson, and are expected to get their own pony ready. We believe this helps horse and rider to bond.

Lessons are catered to rider ability, and complete beginners start with bareback lunge lessons in our indoor arena until the instructor thinks the rider is ready to join a larger group. Generally, adult and children's lessons are kept separate, with a maximum of 4 people per lesson. Instructors track rider progress, and if specifically requested lessons can be tailored to suit specific requirements.

Most lessons are followed by tea and a chat in our clubroom.
