Shenandoah stables, nestled in the rolling drumlins of Co. Monaghan, provides a full range of equine services. Proprietor Tommy McEntee and his friendly team are always on hand to offer help and advice on all horse and pony matters. With a wide range of facilities, Shenandoah has something to offer every horse enthusiast.
At Shenandoah, we take great pride in our breeding programme. We have over 60 ponies and horses at the stables, including Irish Draughts, Irish Sport Horses, Holsteiner, Connemara Ponies and Show Ponies. Young stock and riding ponies are available for sale; please see the Sales section. Specialist advice on breeding and pony care is available for people planning to purchase ponies or horses. Foaling and livery services are also available.

The stables also offer full riding school facilities, from residential riding holidays to hourly lessons. In addition, the experienced staff provide horse schooling and breaking, with problem animals welcome. We have an indoor lunge arena, an outdoor floodlit arena, and over 30 looseboxes and stables.
We are located in Lough Egish, 4km from the town of Castleblayney and 6km from the town of Carrickmacross. We are just 1 hour from Dublin and Dublin Airport. We are surrounded by lakes and excellent fishing - why not take advantage of our boat to go out on the lake? Alternatively, after a long day riding, why not relax at one of a number of local spas and health centres.
